| | Wow.. I don't know when I've ever been so happy to be home. Don't get me wrong.. I absolutely love school and living in La Jolla with the coolest people ever. I just didn't realize how much I missed being home. The first full day I was back, which was friday, was a beautiful day. It was like.. a perfect welcome home. It was so warm outside. It was the kind of day where you could go out without a sweater on and when you get in your car its warm enough where you don't have to turn on the heater but not hot enough that you would have to turn on the air conditioning. Everyday I've been back has been fun and there's no way I can deny that. I filled everyday with something to do, people to see and talk to and I've missed everyone and everything so much. It's all the little things that I miss that I never knew were gone in the first place. I missed falling asleep to the sound of crickets and frogs and waking up to the sound of chirping birds. I missed knowing that I was in walking distance of my family when I slept. I missed all the hills. I missed all of my friends that lived in the hills with me. I missed driving and not having to depend on anyone when having to go somewhere. I missed going shopping. I missed eating dinner with my family every night and oh how I missed my mom's food. I missed the familiarity of my hometown. But I never realized I missed all those things so much until I got home and had them all again. You know how the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Indeed it has. I love Chino Hills more than I ever have before.
